Dr. Shelley grew up in Concord, North Carolina, attending Jay M Robinson High School. He attended the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill for his undergraduate studies. After graduating from Chapel Hill, he enrolled in the LECOM School of Dental Medicine where he received his Doctorate of Medicine in Dentistry.
Dr. Shelley's interest in dentistry began when he interned as an assistant at his cousin's orthodontic practice. Since then, that interest has grown into his passion! Dr. Shelley has a depth of experience in restorative and surgical dentistry, as well as removable prosthetics.
In his free time, Dr. Shelley enjoys traveling with his wife Erin, especially to Florida, where they met. He also enjoys playing golf on the weekends and watching the Carolina Panthers on Sundays.
Christy is a registered dental hygienist who has 14 years of experience in the dental field. She has been with Carolina Dentistry since February of 2020, and works in a periodontal practice as well. Taking pride in her work, she is very passionate about dental care and helping people achieve their dental goals. Christy has two cats and enjoys spending time with family, live music, and traveling.
